I’m Tom Austin, a British watch journalist, photographer and Digital Editor at Time+Tide Watches. I write about watches and the global watch industry, covering everything from new releases and hands-on reviews to independent watchmaking, collecting, opinion and the culture surrounding horology. My work combines in-depth writing with original photography and video, bringing a practical, enthusiast-led perspective to the watches, brands and people I cover.
Watches have fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and much of my work explores the details, stories and human connections that make them interesting beyond their specifications. Alongside my editorial work for Time+Tide, I photograph watches, produce voiceover and video content, attend launches and industry events, and spend plenty of time speaking with the founders, designers, watchmakers and collectors who shape the industry.
